Rev. Anne Meredith

Rev. Anne Meredith has been with Brooklin United Church since 2015.

She helped BUC move to online worship (Zoom: video & phone in, Facebook Live, youtube) during the global pandemic.  These platforms continue to be available.

Anne enjoys participating in popular congregational events, representing church in the community, and being creative in worship.  She receives energy from being with faithful folks who gather for refreshment, learning, and celebrating.  Anne feels the Spirit’s movement is noticeable when we are together.

Anne lives in Bowmanville.  She has two children – Kyra lives in Toronto and Rowan is still at home while attending Durham College.  Anne has family in Courtice, Whitby, and Ajax.  She was raised in Pickering Village.

A graduate of Mt. Allison University and Atlantic School of Theology, Anne was ordained in 1987 and settled by the Church in south western Ontario. After 13 years, moving to accommodate her late husband’s job, the family returned to the local area. While raising her young family, Anne did Sunday supply and a number of long-term coverage stints.  With children established in school, Anne went back to full-time work for 10 years before being called to Brooklin United.

Anne values accompanying those on the journey of faith in all ages of their living.  Scripture informed worship seeks to help our congregation know faith has revelance.  In our compassionate and nurturing community, we know each other as God’s beloved.  Together we express that love as Church
