Brooklin United Church

Brooklin United Church has served the Brooklin community since 1840. Our lovely historic building was constructed by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1867. The church has gone through a number of denominational changes: Methodist Episcopal, Wesleyan Methodist, Presbyterian; and finally in 1926, all three congregations joined to become a congregation of United Church of Canada.

Our diverse membership reflects the increasing diversity of the community. We are made up of people who have been with the church all their lives and new individuals and families from the quickly growing surrounding subdivisions.

Our roots are deep in the village of Brooklin and the surrounding rural communities. Our Mission Statement and our motto – Yesterday, Today, Forever – says a lot about who we are as a Christian community. Although our history is very important to us, we continue to evolve and look forward to the future.
